Photo Session...UGH!

Well if you have visited my shop on Etsy, you will have noticed a couple of cute models that I used to display my hats. The day I picked to photograph them had beautiful weather, but the backyard was flooded with man-eating mosquitoes that only seemed to have ME on the menu, lol. My youngest son, "Binky" (not his real name) was pretty easy to photograph and hardly noticed me snapping away....sooo unusual for him because he's usually a ham in front of the camera. One of my other sons, (I have 3 total) showed his true ham-form! "Scooter" (not his real name) gave me wonderful pictures, and at times smiled a bit too much. One of the pictures he had a "money shot" that I just couldn't pass up...then, in many of the pictures the boys couldn't stay still or there was too much sun, or they were not looking at the camera when I wanted them to. After it was all over, I had some pretty good pictures and the man-eating mosquitoes had their feast!

Peppermint Stress Relief!

Aaaah, we all need it...relief from our daily stresses: work, kids, bills..they can really take its toll on you. I found some really great stress relievers on Etsy such as this peppermint soap from CrystalClear's shop! As I washed my face with this soap, I was tingling and totally refreshed...a must have for all those suffering from daily stresses. Afterwards I enjoyed a cup of peppermint tea from Teaman, another Etsy seller specializing in handmade teas. If you have never had peppermint tea or if you are a peppermint tea connoisseur, you must try this one!

This NETWORKING Thing..

Well, I've been busy trying to build my clientele, perfecting my craft and learning more about networking....what to say, what NOT to say....it's really overwhelming. I've made a few new valuable friends along the way which only shows me that this is just the beginning. I don't want Yarncoture to be just another crochet/knitting store, but I want it to be a place that will be inspiring to others...a place that will stand out above all the rest. Hopefully with successful networking in a saavy and creative way, Yarncoture will be a success!
