Introducing the LUXE COLLECTION....

Crocheted and knitted washcloths and spa items are ringing quite a buzz in couture items for the bath/spa. I searched all over for a cotton yarn to crochet and kept getting the same regular cotton, rough textured yarn. I then stumbled across some cotton yarn imported from Turkey that has a softness and feel that you wouldn't believe! It feels as if it were a cotton/silk blend, but it's 100% cotton and I am pleased to announce that it is the yarn that will be used in my LUXE SPA COLLECTION !! These items are suitable for wedding gifts, gifts for Mom, hostess gifts or all-occasion gifts. Custom colors and sets are always available so don't hesitate to contact me over at My Etsy Shop and I will create something especially for you! Currently the pricing is the same as my regular cotton spa items, but beginning March 1 the prices will increase slightly as this yarn tends to be a bit more expensive than traditional cotton yarn. Keeping It In The Family...

You all know that I have dabbled in a bit of art in my high school years. But what you don't know is that I have a few talented artists in my family as well! My neice came over a couple of days ago to show my husband (an artist) some of her work. As you can see, she's definitely quite an artist! Go Shae!

Norwegian Purl For Continental Knitters

After practicing the continental knitting method and LOVING IT, I still found the purling part of it making my forefinger a bit cramped. I searched on line for a new technique that I had seen which would enable me to purl without flipping my finger over each time. The Norwegian method seems to do the trick!

Beautiful Additions For Spring!

I had such a blast this weekend! This past Friday and Saturday, I made four new additions for my shop! My most favorite is the Burst Of Sunshine Scarf which was made by me hand braiding several strands of yarn and then weaving them together into this scarf! Then I made The Fabulous Scarf which has a hand knitted cuff that's decorated with a vintage button. Using the continental knitting method has enabled me to knit much faster and has taken the blahs out of my knitting!
